We are two sisters, seven years apart in age, but thisclose in spirit. We live on opposite ends of the country, yet speak on the phone constantly, to the utter and unending amazement of our family, who literally cannot figure out how we can have so much to say to each other.

Hot Pants is a 40-something New York City gal who counts stretching, laughing at her own jokes, and mentally copy editing ungrammatical, misspelled takeout menus among her favorite pasttimes. Her most sacred part of the day is receiving hot, scratchy kisses from her beloved puppy, Pancake.

Wiggles used to enjoy The Good Life lolling about during her peak awake hours of 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Nowadays, she is shocked to find herself gainfully employed as a Gold Buyer in an upscale pawn shop. Nevertheless, she remains utterly devoted to her husband, the Lord & Master; her daughter, Sassafrass; and her little dog, too, one Theo Fannybrice, a Cairn terrier, a.k.a. the Little Bastard. Her firmest beliefs are that the unexamined life is worth living and a dirty mind is a friend forever.
